I have seven years of
biology tutoring experience, three here at UF.
I can tutor all topics and offer help for all BSC, ZOO, PCB, and
Wildlife courses. I scored in the 90th
percentile on the biology GRE, which shows that I have an excellent grasp of
biological concepts, and have also been teaching biology topics for seven
years. I have not received less than an
“A” in a biology class since 1998.
Further, I have a great success rate with my clients, who, depending on
the time allotted for help, have raised their performance at least one whole
letter grade. I charge $20/hour and
prefer one on one sessions. Often times
when I tutor people in groups one person gets it well, but the other one does
not. It is rare that two people understand
new concepts, in a seemingly foreign language (i.e., because of all the Latin
terms and names), at the same pace.
Thus, as they are presumably splitting the cost, one is getting what
they are paying for and the other one is not.
So, I like to limit group tutoring as much as possible. This semester, I am available for tutoring
Monday and Thursday afternoons; weekends by appointment. Suggest a
